@Veno53 @knock_ut Mihawk IS a side character with no major narrative significance other than being a part of another characters story. Also, Zoro's dream isn't important for the plot. His vow to Luffy (to never loose against another swordsman) is but not becoming the best.

Besides, those ring eyes are a common thing in one piece as many characters have this. It's a tool to show how dangerous they are.
