You can call me Mini! I’m a Druid VTuber who is obsessed with MMORPGs!

I’ve spent 10+ years working behind the scenes in the creator space as a video editor, creative producer, and writer for tons of YouTubers.

Now, my goal as a VTuber is to share the things I love: MMORPGs and helping people make better content!

As someone who works in content production and has worked with many creators this is my thoughts on the youtube changes:

This really does protect ad revenue! For those who want to take youtube seriously you'll hit that goal eventually! It will just take time!💕 So just take your time and have fun with it!

This should also be your sign to not rely on just YT shorts but also use long form content to reach those numbers! ❤️

I'm seeing a lot of doomposting about the new YouTube requirements. I am ALWAYS down to talk shop and share any knowledge or insight I have that would benefit other creators.

Here is my personal advice:

1. Do not get disheartened. I reinvented my channel several times and, each time, I had to take 3 steps back before taking 10 forward. I started focusing Dragon Ball and Pokémon, then I played mobile games...

It's not a steady upward climb. It's also very easy to write off the big channels who are already there but I started at 0 too.

2. Prioritize EVERGREEN longform content. Longform is the path to stability. Shorts are nice for fast growth but much harder to make a livable wage if you wanted to pursue this as a career. This is where I would put my energy.

3. Don't be afraid to reuse content. I cut together a few FOUR YEAR OLD Splatoon videos and added about 12 minutes of new footage. It did about 114K views in 3 weeks and pulled in 300 new subs. Don't edit something once and immediately throw it away. Reuse the same raw footage in multiple formats.

4. VARIETY IS HARD. Every time I branch out, to try a new series or add a new franchise, it's calculated. I try my best to take safe steps forward and see what my audience responds to. Listen to what is working and try to do more of that before experimenting. Theme your titles and thumbnails so you become more recognizable in recommended.

I never in a million years thought I would be where I am now, but I didn't quit when shit got tough.

You can do this.

YouTube is making changes to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) for *new* applicants.

Starting February 1, 2027, creators will need:
1. 8000 Qualified Watch Hours (up from 4000), or
2. 20M Qualified Shorts Views (up from 10M)

There are no eligibility changes for fan funding.
