@ViewParkside The market's still strong. There's some volatility in trade prices and many traders operate on a cost plus basis hence some variance in prices. We auction a number of items and they always "find their own value" which is generally quite high except for very niche stuff
#TTgauge#TT120 Has #Hornby gone bonkers or is it a stroke of brilliance to resurrect a niche gauge from the past and invest 10s of millions at a time of global supply chain and currency crises?
@jamie_spilsbury Prices for TTE models are barmy! I like to keep my prices reasonable and provide good value but I can't get any of the Thomas range wholesale at anywhere near reasonable prices so I don't stock them these days
@jamie_spilsbury I flew into Newark on the 10th Sept admiring the view of the towers on the approach. Flew out 3 weeks later to an empty skyline. Poignant and sobering. My US colleagues had had their hearts broken en masse in the blink of an eye, truly awful
@jamie_spilsbury@nodrogvlogs@LEGOLANDWindsor My old man took me on a marathon shed bashing trip to London in the early 70s. Spent a lot of time navigating the underground just popping up like moles to visit Stratford, Cricklewood and other long gone nests of regional BR diesels of the era. Unforgettable trip!
@jamie_spilsbury Saw Billy Connolly at Hammersmith in the late 80s. After train fares, hotels etc, it was still the best 300 pound I've ever spent! Brilliant
An amazing piece of innovative engineering, the #intercityAPT is as stunning now at @CreweHC as it was at its launch over 4 decades ago #railwayheritage
