We want to give a big THANK YOU to our MN CAP staff and board members who came from across the state, and also to our Minnesota lawmakers who continue to prioritize policies that help build community resilience, address the causes of poverty, and enhance financial stability.
One item we are talking about with our legislators today is the Family Assets for Independence in Minnesota (FAIM) program, which helps low-income working Minnesotans increase savings, assets, and financial knowledge to achieve greater economic security.
One item we are advocating for at the Capitol is the Minnesota Community Action Grant (MCAG), which is a state-funded grant through MN DCYF-OEO. MCAG funds all 24 Community Action Agencies with flexible funding. MCAG is allocated to the network based on poverty in each area.
60+ Minnesota Community Action Partnership staff and board members are here at the Minnesota State Capitol today for our Day on the Hill. Find more info and our legislative agenda on our website: https://t.co/0raURTIkfT
We are excited to gather with Community Action Agencies from across the state and to educate our state legislators about the great work that CAP agencies do in their communities!
