Severe physical pain and psychological distress are an inherent part of the design and implementation of all capital punishment, and the practice must be abolished immediately, said Morris Tidball-Binz, UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions in a report to the UN Human Rights Council today.

Based on testimonies from death row survivors, their relatives, forensic evidence and academic research, the report unequivocally finds that the cumulative and prolonged death penalty process generates suffering so severe that it amounts to torture and violates international law.

“The death penalty is not only a denial of the right to life, but also an affront to human dignity for those subjected to it and their relatives at all stages of the prolonged and torturous process,” Tidball-Binz said.

The Special Rapporteur is a forensic doctor with extensive experience in documenting torture.

The report examines all stages of capital punishment from the perspective of men and women facing it and their families: starting with arrest, interrogation and pre-trial detention, through to trial, sentencing and imprisonment, followed by the execution itself and its aftermath.

The findings reveal that each stage of the process generates deep and lasting trauma which extends to children, spouses and other relatives long after their loved one is executed.

“The death penalty is also plagued by racial and other forms of discrimination and inequality, disproportionately impacting people of African-descent and foreign nationals, as well as those living in poverty and with disabilities,” the expert said. “The death penalty compounds the vulnerability of marginalised communities, including exposure to wrongful convictions.”

Exonerated death row prisoners and their relatives, interviewed by the expert, qualified the continuous terror and uncertainty of a pending execution, combined with humiliating treatment, dire prison conditions, isolation and coercion, amongst other abuses, as “psychological warfare.”

“Capital punishment amounts to a State-controlled regime of deliberate suffering, which has no place in a criminal justice system founded on human rights,” said Tidball-Binz. “Only immediate abolishment can ensure compliance with State obligations and respect for human life and dignity.”

موضوع نجات از اعتیاد برای ما متفاوت از آن چیزی است که سایر تشکل ها ممکن است آن را دنبال کنند. آنها صرفا بحثشان این است که یک نفر از اعتیاد نجات پیدا بکند، ما هدفمان احیای هویت انسانی و احیای شأن و کرامت و منزلت انسانی است. این موضوع ارتباط تنگاتنگی با حقوق بشر مدرن دارد که ارائه خواهیم داد و بخشیش را صحبت کردیم و سازمان صلح طاهری عهده دار آن هست. در حقوق بشر نوین احیای هویت و شأن و منزلت و کرامت انسانی در یک اولویت بالایی قرار دارد و اولین نقطه‌ایست که روی آن دست گذاشته می‌شود. یعنی انسان بدون شأن و کرامت و منزلت، بقیه مسائل و موارد دیگر براش ارزش و اهمیتی ندارد.

World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations, observed every year on June 20. It honors the courage, strength, and resilience of millions of people forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, or disaster.

The UN officially established this day in 2000, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention the landmark document that defines who a refugee is and outlines their rights and the legal obligations of states toward them.

روز جهانی پناهندگان

اصطلاح «پناهنده» یا «پناهجو» به کسانی اطلاق می‌شود که در پی تهدید امنیت جانی یا محرومیت‌های اساسی از کشور خود گریخته‌اند. طبق اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر، هر انسانی در برابر آزار و اذیت، حق تقاضا و استفاده از پناهندگی در کشورهای دیگر را داراست. پناهندگان باید از حمایت بین‌المللی برخوردار شوند و هیچ دولتی نباید فردی را مجبور به بازگشت به کشوری کند.

صدور حکم ۱۸ سال حبس، تبعید و محرومیت دائمی از وکالت برای جواد علیکردی

#جواد_علیکردی، وکیل دادگستری و برادر زنده‌یاد #خسرو_علیکردی، از وکلای دادگستری جان‌باخته، در تاریخ ۲۰ آذر ۱۴۰۴ پس از برگزاری مراسم برادرش، در محل کار خود در مشهد بازداشت شد. او پس از انتقال به یکی از بازداشتگاه‌های امنیتی، به زندان وکیل‌آباد مشهد منتقل شد و هم‌اکنون در این زندان محبوس است.

شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب مشهد، جواد علیکردی را به مجموع ۱۸ سال حبس، انفصال دائم از حرفه وکالت، دو سال تبعید به سراوان و دو سال منع خروج از کشور محکوم کرده است.
بکارگیری عناوین کلی و تفسیرپذیر برای تحمیل چنین مجموعه سنگینی از مجازات‌ها، با اصل قانونی ‌بودن جرم و مجازات، ضرورت ارائه ادله روشن و قابل ارزیابی و حق برخورداری از دادرسی عادلانه سازگار نیست.
انتقاد، اظهارنظر، پیگیری حقوقی و دفاع از حقوق شهروندان را نمی‌توان بدون اثبات دقیق و مستند یک رفتار مجرمانه مشخص، مبنای چنین مجازات‌های سنگینی قرار داد.

در نگاهی مبتنی بر حقوق بشر و کرامت انسانی، نهادهای حکومتی موظف به حفظ حقوق و آزادی‌های مردم هستند. استفاده از ابزارهای قضایی برای محدود کردن مطالبه‌گری، دفاع از حقوق دیگران یا فعالیت‌های حرفه‌ای، با این مسئولیت سازگار نیست.

امنیت پایدار نیز از مسیر احترام به حقوق شهروندان، پاسخگویی نهادها و حفظ استقلال جامعه حقوقی شکل می‌گیرد، نه با زندان، تبعید و محرومیت حرفه‌ای.

در این نگاه، مسئولان در جایگاه خدمت به ملت قرار دارند و قانون باید حافظ کرامت، آزادی و حقوق شهروندان باشد. محروم‌ کردن یک وکیل از آزادی و ادامه فعالیت حرفه‌ای، با این مسئولیت سازگار نیست.

انفصال دائمی از وکالت صرفاً مجازاتی علیه یک فرد نیست؛ این تصمیم، حذف همیشگی یک وکیل از عرصه دفاع و هشداری تنبیهی به جامعه حقوقی است. استقلال وکلا زمانی معنا دارد که آنان به دلیل انجام وظایف حرفه‌ای، اظهارنظر حقوقی، پیگیری حقیقت و دفاع از حقوق شهروندان با زندان، تبعید و محرومیت دائمی از حرفه خود مواجه نشوند.

این احکام، به‌ شدت نامتناسب و ناقض حقوق انسانی، مدنی و حرفه‌ای جواد علیکردی است.
این اتهامات و مجازات‌ها باید فورا لغو شوند و آزادی فوری ایشان، رفع تمامی محدودیت‌های تحمیل‌ شده و رسیدگی مستقل، علنی و بی‌طرفانه به پرونده در چارچوب کامل تضمین‌های دادرسی عادلانه در دستور کار قرار گیرد.

۱۷ ژوئن، روز جهانی مبارزه با بیابان‌زایی و خشکسالی، امسال بر «مراتع: شناخت، احترام، احیا» تمرکز دارد؛ مراتعی که خاک، رطوبت، آبخوان‌ها، معیشت و کنترل گرد و غبار به آن وابسته‌اند.
بیابان‌زایی فقط گسترش کویر نیست؛ کاهش بارندگی، تبخیر بالا، افت آب‌های زیرزمینی، شور شدن خاک و نابودی پوشش گیاهی، سرزمین‌ها را به خشکی پایدار می‌کشاند.

On the Occasion of #WorldCraftDay

#Handicrafts and #Traditionalcrafts represent a heritage deeply rooted in human history, with branches that endure to this day. This ancient art is not merely the production of a commodity; it is the manifestation of the thought, culture, and identity of a people. Every work that emerges from the hands of a skilled artisan is a living testament to the civilization, creativity, and perseverance of humankind a testament that no factory is capable of producing.

In an era where industrialization and mass production have pushed many cultural expressions to the margins, handicrafts continue to stand as an unbreakable bridge between the past and the present. Carpet weaving, pottery, woodcarving, marquetry, filigree work, and hundreds of other crafts each speak their own distinct language narrating the story of peoples who have given meaning to the world through their hands.

By designating June 10th as World Craft Day, UNESCO has underscored the importance of preserving and promoting this invaluable heritage. This day serves as a reminder of a shared responsibility one that rests upon the shoulders of governments, cultural institutions, and every individual in society to support artisans and craftspeople and to provide the necessary conditions for these arts to survive and flourish.
Handicrafts are not solely a cultural value; they are also an economic reality. Millions of households around the world, particularly in developing countries, rely on this sector for their livelihoods. Investing in and supporting these crafts means investing in sustainable employment, the empowerment of women, and the prosperity of underserved communities.
On this auspicious occasion, we consider it our duty to:
Extend our sincere appreciation to artisans and craftspeople for their tireless dedication to preserving this precious heritage.
Call upon officials and policymakers to guarantee the future of these crafts through the allocation of resources and the development of supportive policies.
Encourage every consumer to make conscious choices by purchasing authentic handcrafted products, thereby directly contributing to the livelihoods of artisans.

اوج‌گیری جنگ‌های تشعشاتی

در خصوص اینگونه موارد با توجه به اینکه خیلی از بناها همانطور که توضیح داده‌ام خدمتتان، مثل داستان حضرت سلیمان برای ساخت و ایجادشان به نحوی از این موجودات غیرارگانیک استفاده شده است. حالا خیلی جاها همانطور که توضیح داده‌ام، تصاویری را هم نشانتان خواهم داد، مجسمه‌ای و چیزی نمادین از به اصطلاح این موجودات را آنجا گذاشته‌اند. این موجودات شکل ندارند ولی این‌ها با یک خصوصیات کلی که معلوم است که در واقع این‌ها از آن‌ها هستند، که به زعم ما برای قدردانی بوده و برای قدردانی هست، ولی به زعم خودشان ممکن است، من چون مثلا شنیده‌ام برای این است که از این عمارت‌ها حفاظت بشود، این‌ها نگهبان‌های این بناها هستند.

محیط زیست؛ زمین به عنوان یک جایگاه بی نظیر در کیهان
(بخش اول)

ضمن محکوم کردن استفاده از هرگونه اقدام زیست تخریبی از طریق ادوات و سلاح‌های ژئوفیزیکی (هرچند که هنوز مدارک علمی و فنی مستندی برای آن وجود ندارد) که بدون شک ضربه‌ای وحشتناک و غیرقابل جبران به اکوسیستم زمین محسوب میشود، به برخی موضوعاتی که رسیدگی به آنها در سطح عموم حایز اهمیت است، بشرح بسیار مختصر و کلی زیر اشاره میشود:
فرهنگ‌سازی در زمینه کاهش مصرف مواد شوینده:
یکی از کلیدی‌ترین راهکارها برای حفاظت از محیط زیست و سلامت انسان است. بسیاری از مردم به اشتباه تصور می‌کنند «کف بیشتر یا مصرف ماده شوینده بیشتر، برابر است با تمیزی بیشتر»؛ در حالی که عوارض جانبی این رویکرد آسیب‌های جبران‌ناپذیری می تواند به همراه داشته باشد.
تغییر نگرش و اصلاح الگوی مصرف از طریق فرهنگ‌سازی، تاثیرات عمیق و چندگانه‌ای دارد که در ادامه به آن‌ها می‌پردازیم:
۱- نجات منابع آبی و آبزیان
مواد شوینده حاوی ترکیبات شیمیایی سختی مانند فسفات‌ها، سورفکتانت‌ها و سفیدکننده‌ها هستند. فرهنگ‌سازی برای مصرف بهینه، مستقیماً واردات این سموم به چرخه آب را کاهش می‌دهد.

Every year on June 12, the world observes the #WorldDayAgainstChildLabour, established by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2002.

This day is a global call to action a reminder that millions of children are still being robbed of their childhood.

⚡The Reality⚡
According to the ILO, nearly 160 million children around the world are trapped in child labour working in fields, factories, mines, and streets. Not by choice, but by the force of poverty. Instead of holding a pencil, they carry burdens no child should ever bear.

👉What Is #ChildLabour?

Child labour is any work that:
Harms a child's physical or mental health
Denies them access to education
Steals their future and right to a normal childhood

Poverty, lack of free education, armed conflict, and social inequality are the driving forces behind child labour. As long as these exist, no child is truly safe.

What Can We Do?

protection laws
2.Advocate for free and compulsory education
3.Fight structural poverty
4.Raise awareness in your community

محیط زیست؛ زمین به عنوان یک جایگاه بی نظیر در کیهان

مسلم است که فرهنگ‌سازی یک‌شبه اتفاق نمی‌افتد؛ این فرآیند به سه ضلع کلیدی نیاز دارد:
آموزش مستمر (از مهدکودک‌ها تا رسانه‌ها)
ایجاد زیرساخت مناسب (مانند سطل‌های بازیافت در دسترس)
تشویق و الگوسازی.
وقتی پاکسازی محیط زیست از یک «وظیفه قانونی» به یک «ارزش اخلاقی و افتخار شخصی» تبدیل شود، زمین نفس راحتی خواهد کشید.

سهیم بودن انسان‌ها در ثروت زمین

این موضوعی را که ما مطرح کرده‌ایم در خصوص اینکه زمین متعلق به همه است و یک ثروتی دارد که به عنوان یک ثروت عمومی محسوب می‌شود و کسانی که از این ثروت استفاده می‌کنند، در واقع لازم است که به بخشی از این ثروت را در یک بانک جهانی برای اداره امور همین افراد، به اصطلاح در واقع درآمد سرانه جهانی داریم تعریف می‌کنیم که طبق این درآمد سرانه، هر کسی که در کره زمین زندگی می‌کند، یک سهمی دارد، یک حداقل چیزی را برای زندگی دارد.

The planet doesn’t argue. It doesn’t negotiate. It sends signals rising seas, raging wildfires, heatwaves, melting glaciers.

گرامیداشت روز جهانی محیط زیست

موضوع زمین از دید ما آن یگانگی و آن جایگاهی که زمین در کیهان دارد و معتقدیم یک مشت خاک که در زمین ما داریم، در هیچ کجای کیهان وجود ندارد و نخواهد داشت.
علی رغم اینکه اعتراف بکنیم که میلیاردها سیاره مثل زمین ممکن است وجود داشته باشد که حتماً هم همینطور هست.
بتوانیم گامی در چندین جهت در راستای گسترش صلح صلح جهانی، رهایی از بردگی سیاسی، حفظ محیط زیست و به همین‌ها که به هم مرتبط است اتفاقاً، این برای اولین بار است که یک به اصطلاح اندیشه‌ی چند جانبه می‌شود، آن هم برای یک هدف. در واقع ممکن است مثلاً در وهله‌ی اول، ارتباط گسترش صلح با محیط زیست با این، با آن، همه این‌ها با هم فهمیده نشود، ولی وقتی که بیاییم در کار، می‌بینیم که نگاه به انسان نگاه به زمین، همه‌ی اینا در واقع همه‌اش با همدیگر بایستی یکجا نگاه بشود. کسی اگر به انسان نگاه بکند، نمی‌تواند به زمین نگاه نکند، چون این یگانه است، آن‌ هم یگانه است.

⚡Theme for 2026: REIMAGINE⚡

The theme "Reimagine" invites us to change the way we see and care for the ocean. For too long, we have viewed it as something distant, when in fact it is part of our daily lives — the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the climate balance that makes our existence possible.

👉Why Oceans Matter:

Our oceans cover 70% of the planet's surface and play a vital role in sustaining life. From providing oxygen for every second breath we take to feeding billions of people and hosting 80% of the world's biodiversity, the ocean is essential to our existence.

Key Focus: Marine Protected Areas
The 2026 Action Theme — Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet — aligns with the recent ratification of the High Seas Treaty to protect biodiversity beyond national jurisdiction. World leaders have committed to protecting at least 30% of the ocean by 2030 (30×30), covering an area that makes up nearly half of Earth's surface.

A Historic Milestone
After nearly two decades of negotiations, a new UN agreement entered into force in 2026, marking one of the most significant recent advances in international maritime regulation, aimed at protecting marine biodiversity through new rules on marine resources, protected areas, and environmental impact assessments.

👉How to Take Action
People are encouraged to make informed seafood choices, support sustainable fisheries, organize beach cleanups, and advocate for policies that protect marine life. Small efforts like reducing single-use plastics add up to meaningful change.

همه این زمین متعلق به همه است و هر ثروتی، هر درآمدی، متعلق به همه است. حالا اگر یک کسی در گوشه آفریقا افتاده و در کجای افغانستان افتاده و نمی‌دانم کجای تبت و هر جایی که افتاده است که سیاست‌گذاری‌ها باعث شده که او نتواند از این ثروت استفاده بکند و از حداقل‌های امکانات بشری استفاده بکند و مورد چنین ظلمی قرار دارد، این یک بحث دیگر است ولی بشر باید بداند که این ثروت زمین متعلق به همه است و این قسمت قضیه می‌تواند یک صندوق جهانی باشد به نسبت درآمدهای سرانه‌ای که کشورها دارند، هر کشوری بر حسب یک معیارها و ملاک‌هایی.
