President Zelenskyy at the NATO Summit in Ankara:
We are now eliminating around 30,000 Russian soldiers every month. Just imagine that scale.
In June alone, nearly 28,000 Russian soldiers were eliminated, and we have video confirmation for every single one of them. The overwhelming majority were struck by drones.
And frankly, we take no pride in this. We are saying this to show what modern war looks like - a war we did not start, but one we are forced to fight.
Ukraine has just done something astonishing.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has just launched TrophyLab - essentially making access to all captured Russian weapon technologies free for foreign governments, research institutions and the defence industry.
They will even send physical hardware to allies for examination and to rip it apart to discover Russian military secrets. As well as technical specifications, blueprints and research results.
The website includes listings for armoured vehicles, missiles, aircraft, UAVs, EW assets, UGVs, cruise missiles etc.
Governments usually want to keep this kind of captured tech a secret for its own advantage. Ukraine has decided to make it (relatively, I think) open access for the benefit of the West.
President Zelensky said it plainly: Ukraine did not have cards, it had people. Smart, brave people. That is the truth Europe must never forget. Putin counts weapons, Trump talks deals; Ukrainians are defending a nation, a democracy and the security of our continent. Their drones, resilience and courage are not bargaining chips. They are Europe’s front line. As European Democrats, we stand with Ukraine: peace requires strength, freedom requires solidarity.
REP. BACON: This administration, and particularly Pentagon right now, is very critical of Europe, EU, NATO, and you never hear them criticize Russia.
Why are they so weak on Russia, which affects their Ukraine and Baltics policy, but so quick to always want to criticize Europe?
That's not good for America, not good for our national security. We, with our allies, have to work together to counter Russia, to counter China, and to help us in Middle East.
This constant criticism, along with President's threats towards Greenland as well as Canada, has hurt us. Our allies have lost a lot of trust in United States.
ZELENSKY: I told Trump that I didn’t play with Putin. For us, it’s very serious. It’s not about cards.
I didn’t have cards, but I had the most important — smart and brave people. This is our card — the card of Ukraine. That’s why we’re now very strong with our drone technology.
