ph armys, please lang. sobrang tagal nating hinintay na makabalik sila, kaya sana we can respect yung personal time and privacy nila. no team airport, stalking, or invading their personal space, please. let's make their stay here a happy experience 🥺🙏
The amount of absolute madness going on in Lima is insane 🤦♀️
• Namjoon & Jungkook’s car swarmed and blocked outside the hotel after going out—people screaming at them to roll down the windows
• Randoms livestreaming the mess for clout & money
• Crowds still camping, singing, & screaming outside even AFTER the drone show ended
• Lasers being pointed straight at hotel windows
• AND airport staff leaking security check footage?!
As much as we appreciate the warm welcome and all the effort from true Peruvian ARMYs & local authorities, BTS’s experience this time has hit rock bottom. I hate to say it, but this might genuinely be the first and LAST time they ever hold a concert there.
Honestly, this might even affect the rest of the South American tour. Fans in the upcoming countries, PLEASE just listen to Namjoon’s plea! 🙏💔
MIND U ALL HE ASKED OF U BRAINLESS FUCKS WAS TO HAVE SOME BASIC RESPECT AND HUMAN DECENCY FOR HIM, HIS STAFF, AND THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL THAT YALL BITCHES ARE MOBBING AND BEING LOUD ASF AT.
U can obviously tell the guests, staff, and the crew including the dancers have been talking about the noise which prompted Joon to make that Weverse letter, ppl really jumped him for looking out for everybody🚶🏿♀️
Everyone saying BTS has reached Michael Jackson levels of fame, yes. Absolutely. BTS is arguably the biggest musical act on the planet right now, and wherever they go, they’re going to pull enormous crowds. But when we say that, we mean people gathering to see them in their shows or outside of the stadiums, NOT people swarming their hotels, climbing onto their cars, and putting their safety at risk. WHAT IS THIS INSANITY?
I genuinely thought we had left this maniacal fan culture back in the 2000s and 2010s. Why are we bringing it back in 2026? This is not admiration. This is an invasion of privacy, and it can have serious consequences for an artist’s mental and physical well-being.
BTS are currently undertaking one of the biggest tours in music history. Their safety, privacy, and well-being should be a priority. They need to rest, enjoy their time off, and have a life outside performing. If we want them to show up onstage and give us their all, we need to let them exist as human beings OFFSTAGE, too. How are they supposed to do that when they cannot even leave a hotel without being chased, filmed, or surrounded?
And please, enough with the comparisons to Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and other artists who experienced this level of fame. Their fame did not make the invasion of their privacy any less harmful. If anything, their experiences should teach us WHY this behaviour is unacceptable. So many artists have spoken about the toll that relentless stalking, paparazzi, and having no private life took on them.
Do we seriously want BTS to reach a point where they have to shout at people, lash out at cameras, or become hostile just to get some basic human decency? Because why should they have to reach that point for people to understand that they deserve privacy?
BTS being the biggest artist in the world does not mean the world is entitled to every second of their lives. Their fame is not public ownership of their bodies, their time, or their personal space. We can celebrate their success without turning their lives into a nightmare. Their safety should never be the price they pay for their fame.
for those who are lost about the whole BTS Peru situation, here's what's been going on:
- so namjoon had posted on wv asking ppl to stop gathering outside their hotels because the noise was disturbing the members, staff AND other hotel guests, leaving them unable to sleep properly and potentially affecting their performances, he thanked everyone for the warm welcome and asked for privacy across their upcoming stops too.
- instead of acknowledging his concerns, some people started calling him xenophobic and defending themselves rather than accepting that boundaries need to be respected.
- then came the narrative that the people outside weren't ARMY. but with the drone shows, people singing Hooligan word for word and all the other activities happening, how can anyone confidently claim to know who everyone is? none of these things prove individual identities, but simply saying “they're not ARMY” doesn't solve the problem either.
- some genuine Peruvian ARMYs have reportedly been trying to redirect people away from the hotel through alternative location posts, and there were reports of water tankers being used to disperse the crowd.
- YET, a huge crowd is reportedly still outside the hotel, with some people saying it's just a popular tourist spot and a holiday. maybe some people are genuinely tourists, but we can't assume everyone's intentions either way now do we??
- NOW, a dancer from BTS' crew has also spoken up, asking people to stay away from the hotel, stop making noise and stop sending pictures of the hotel because this behaviour isn't something to be proud of.
AND NOW THERE ARE REPORTS OF PEOPLE POINTING LASERS AT THEIR HOTEL ROOMS. this is beyond disturbing.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT PERU OR LATIN AMERICAN ARMYs. IT'S ABOUT BTS' PRIVACY, SAFETY AND BASIC HUMAN DECENCY.
they deserve to sleep, rest and prepare for their performances without being watched or disturbed. whether those people are ARMY or not, whether the location is a tourist spot or not, NONE OF THAT JUSTIFIES INVADING THEIR PRIVACY.
stop making this about defending a country's reputation or proving who's a real ARMY. listen to what namjoon actually asked for. BTS came to perform for us, not to have their hotel turned into a public attraction. LET THEM REST. 💜
