Our last good bird of 2021 was this Glaucous Gull on the Scrape @RSPBMinsmere (pic by Rachel). My 208th species for the year on the reserve. No sign today sadly!

The end of another year of mostly green birding. Final total of 230 species, 225 of which were within 10 miles of home including 204 at Minsmere. I cycled 4252 miles and wore out two bikes!

I saw an additional 8 species in Suffolk and 8 nationally by car (I only left Suffolk 4 times all year) so 93.5% of my year list was green.

@Stewchat And yes, I did used to cycle to Hauxley, Druridge etc. regularly. Remember twitching my first Little Egret by bike back in the days when they were rare!
