It's the first day new season! I'm so excited- will have eyes on the Wealdstone match, and can't wait to hit the LNER for Kidderminster Harriers next week.

Read my York City season preview and initial thoughts on the takeover here:

There’s only one international trophy winner sat at that table and let me tell you, it’s none of the men

@JakeCoare14 You are so loved! It always gets better, never forget that- you are not alone ❤️

Kinda feel like this tweet sums it up- I guess it's to be expected if you speculate to accumulate on tons of big signings: regular playing fitness takes time.
I think fans will have to be genuinely patient, whether Morton or someone else.

So in the first 4 games we've had
Stockdale - injured
Fallowfield- start the season suspended
Howe - suspended for a game
Cordner - started the season injured & not fit
Crookes - injured
Woodyard - long term injury

I can see why we've struggled defensively so far #ycfc

@TheVanaramaNL @Vanarama Trying to be measured..5 🤣feel like we could have beaten Altrincham

Feel like Finlay Barnes deserves his chance! The way he played in pre season and hunger he showed I just feel is badly needed in this city team.

[Jake Hall @YCFCJake]

Hope we start like this with Barnes, would be so good to see him start and I reckon he would do ok. #ycfc

Just completed reading it. Excellent throughout as always.
Stand outs for me :-
The three pager on the revolution. Very level and well written
And @LittleScoff touching tribute to a lost friend 👍
As ever York fans, use it or lose it. We’re lucky to have @YfrontFanzine

Super hyped for York v Kidderminster later- for me the big questions...
1) mentality: what happens when we go a goal down/concede
2) does Mikey Morton stick with his guns on promising 4-3-3 or does the team slip into hoofball?
3) New signings: who is ready/still unfit?

Can't wait for Kiddy on Saturday- maybe Rochdale as well! Decent fan support could be the difference between mid table and a play off push 🙏🙏would love the football league...
Come support this team, it's absurd at times but like nothing else.

With the rumoured takeover getting ever closer and lots of opinions flying round, i thought I'd write a blog post summarising my thoughts and what this takeover could mean for York City https://t.co/L8hl58Co2F #ycfc
