Again not sure why this has to be explained 🙄.

Two things can be true at the same time (shocker): BTS may have agreed to or even requested a four-song set, and fans can still reasonably question whether the entire appearance made sense given how iHeart positioned them.

1. iHeart marketed BTS like a major attraction.

2. iHeart put them last, knowing their audience would remain through the entire broadcast.

3. They traveled halfway around the world for this 16 minute appearance.

4. They closed the show with a wtf ending. And then the payoff was the shortest set of the night.

What people are reacting to is the cost-to-payoff mismatch. Stop thinking ARMY is just complaining to complain.

What made this appearance valuable enough to justify all that international travel for 16 minutes? ARMY never wants BTS to waste time or energy especially when they have a tour to rest up for.

BTS are grown men with enormous negotiating power. ARMY can believe they consented to their schedule and still ask what iHeart’s rationale was for marketing a 16-minute performance as the closing attraction.

From a business perspective I get why, from a fan perspective it’s sucks especially how it ended. We got to watch every other person walk off the freaking stage. BTS mic’s were cut, and then they walked off the stage practically in the dark, etc.. worst festival ending I’ve ever seen.

We need to normalize calling out the elephant in the room when ARMY is being used for viewership. iHeart could have simply said BTS will take the stage at whatever time and gave ARMY the options of when they wanted to tune in. The people who give iHeart room to breathe, create environments where this user-ship will keep happening because you’re okay with it.

The irritation is from ARMY always being a pawn to these events. Some of you want everything to be black and white in order to dismiss another person experience/perspective.
