@PoltFan69 Nah, nah. I think they have, but they have to undo and redo a whole lot of nonsense they tried to put in. I'll bet you a fignuton and a pecan swirl that's what's going on.
@ChibiReviews (C> A console can be updated with firmware that stops your disc from being read. There are probably examples of this happening too. And I don't think it is distributors alone that are fighting against DRM and CRs. Big game dev studios are probably just as guilty.
@ChibiReviews I'm sorry (not really) people. I agree with the groups of people that physical or digital mediums are not the issue we need to die on a hill for. It doesn't matter. DRM and consumer rights however does more than anything else. Because that physical disc can also cease to work.(C>
@JamieKaos Oh, definitely. The biggest point of contention on all platforms is just going to be people wanting to own a copy of what they paid for. Why things like 'Stop Killing Games' in Europe exists, and similar movements. It isn't just for live service video games. Single player too.
@JamieKaos I think more people are complaining about digital games because some of the companies are doing a 'selling you a license' and after a certain amount of time the thing you paid money for can no longer be played. But you can't take away physical media.
@TJPhoenix3@GuardTm Agreed. Now, can we also make an industry that can make robust cooling towers that are also a gorgeous marvel to look at? Maybe a really big steam tree or something that looks like a hanging garden? I don't know.
