Just received the heartbreaking news of the passing of Professor Abdul Ghani Bhat Sahib. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

This is a personal loss for me, and today my heart grieves the departure of someone whose absence can never be replaced.

Professor Sahib, a close friend and classmate of my late father, held a special place in my heart. I always admired him and drew inspiration from his sharp wit and impeccable wisdom.

I pray to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal peace and the highest place in Jannah.

Though I am away from the valley and cannot be with the grieving family in person, my thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support are with them. May Allah grant them the strength to endure this profound and irreplaceable loss.

Had a productive meeting with Hon’ble LG Manoj Sinha Ji at Raj Bhavan, today.
We discussed a range of issues, including several pressing public concerns—particularly those affecting the horticulture industry, which has suffered significant losses due to recent and recurrent weather-related adversities.
I reiterated my demand for compensation for the worst-hit orchardists and farmers, and also requested Sinha Ji’s intervention to ensure the implementation of a comprehensive crop insurance scheme in J&K.
We further discussed the prevailing political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Overall, it was a constructive and productive meeting.

It is highly request to Madam @sakinaitoo Hon.Minister to please look into an important issue. Private schools do charge Transport fee for winters. This is injustice with parents.
Kindly relook into it and you may pass an order to director to check it.

A tragedy was thankfully averted today when police detected and defused an IED on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway near Palhallan. Unfortunately, the enemies of peace remain hell-bent on creating trouble and resorting to violence in J&K. The people of this region have borne the brunt of violence for more than three decades. They have witnessed enough deaths and bloodsheds and can no longer afford further loss of lives or destruction on this land.

It is heartening to hear that the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire agreement has taken effect in Lebanon this morning. The devastating conflict has claimed about 4,000 lives, injured over 15,000 people, and displaced tens of thousands since October last year. Let us pray for the success of this ceasefire. The world needs peace and harmony, not wars and conflicts.
