@sarveshhon if you are the 100th person making the same weekly hype based product , its just that the trend is cooling down now
instead put your energy into creating something where you can bring the value and hence the trend
@Jason Completely agree. It's clear the minivan cut the Waymo off here, but the public/regulatory tolerance for AV mistakes is basically zero. One truly bad edge case with a pedestrian or cyclist could set the entire industry back five years.
These are the mass use products and they'll definitely benifit in the long run of building in public
As even if they get discovered by fellow founders or people who building products these type of product help them at leveraging their skills
So what kind of product you should build in public should be the question
I think if you build and audience first that might indirectly help you at getting discovered by the potential buyers
And its more of the type of saas you are build
Is is something every other person can use or is it for a specific niche and you'll have to understand if that niche exists in public
In the best case you may get discovered by some client who'd like your work and may want to pay you for building their project or you may find a potential VC
I’ve watched founders spend weeks improving their product.
Then lose the customer in 30 seconds.
Not because the product was bad.
Because the user had to:
→ create an account
→ verify email
→ fill a form
→ choose a plan
→ enter a card
before seeing any value.
Your onboarding isn’t a tutorial.
It’s your first sales call.
Remove everything that delays the “aha” moment.
@pcshipp Name that as charity AI which will then be backed by your bank account so make sure to have a solid bank balance as i'll be the one using it the most
@launch_llama At one point hiring an SMM will be the best investment if you can afford
Respect talent, we cannot be everything
In the beginning we multitask for that slingshot, always have the mentality to create jobs thats how you grow
@TTrimoreau Talk to users of whats stopping them from signing up to paid plan at least 2-3 reasons
Note them down make a list and see which one is/are mentioned the most
That's the best deep research you can have of the market
As these are not just 500 users but 500 types of people
