@joonysroom Joony-san, I haven't seen AGT for a long time but I stumbled across your group's golden buzzer moment on YouTube. Immediately, I remember when you first posted a short video doing AIRFOOTWORKS in a park, just by yourself, just starting out. Congratulations, you are so inspiring!
People will say art is essential out one side of their mouth then ask why haute couture exists out the other, and not connect that fashion can also be art.
I just want to add, as someone who has worked in a factory before, this is also what regular, non-sweatshop factories can look like. What makes a sweatshop is the low pay, forced labor, who’s working there, long hours, incredibly high requirements and often dangerous conditions.
Join us April 3rd at 9AM or 12PM EDT for a one-hour virtual creative workshop led by @miramusank . During the workshop, you will create your own art and all participants will have the opportunity to submit their work as part of a group exhibition. Register at the link in our bio.
One of the most powerful English professors of the past 40 years stole an argument I made in a seminar presentation, turning it into the core of his next book.

there's a joke on here that goes something like this:
"i asked him how much it would cost to make this today. i will never forget his answer. 'we can't, we don't know how to do it anymore.'"

Ever notice how nearly every climate denial argument fall into just one of FIVE categories?
But here's the twist: they all share ONE goal - preventing action.
So don't be distracted: debunk briefly, then pivot immediately to positive, constructive solutions for a better world.
Goodwill and Salvation Army are NOT the only thrift stores in the world. They're not even the best and they're certainly not the most ethical or sustainable. Here's a directory of over 12k brick and mortar secondhand stores searchable by zip code: https://t.co/OmgQrxIt2T
Sometimes I think about how cheap clothing 10 or 20 years ago is often better than mid clothing now. I have t-shirts from college that I bought at Target I still wear regularly. However cotton is literally not the same now as it was then, and clothes aren’t being sewn the same.
I get asked this a lot, so let me explain how I start one of my highly detailed bg pieces!

The most basic of sketches. Sometimes I do this in perspective, sometimes not. It doesn’t matter, as long as I’m setting the scene. Focus is on key elements + comp
This is the 'Volkswagen 2015' moment for the #COP28 Presidency. Caught red handed, the COP Presidency has no other option but to now unequivocally step up the transparency, responsibility and accountability with which they lead the process. [1/2]

🧵 on how I added 3.5” on this vintage skirt’s waistband so I could wear it (without having to reinstall the zipper)
This skirt just barely fit me around the waist (it could close but not comfortably) there was no seam allowance in the side seams to let out.

🧵 A lot of Americans just don’t know what life is like for those in Gaza, so here’s an analogy that might help:
Imagine Gaza as Rhode Island. Here’s what reality would look like:
