For the past few years I've offered a free 5-page website to a DEBUT author who doesn't yet have one, just because. I'd like to do that again this year - please share w/any debut groups, appreciate it! @2023Debuts@2024Debuts https://t.co/1mb4o0wWKI
Painful to read because every bit rings true. Policy makers rarely acknowledge how untreated brain illnesses affect not only the ill person, but also all those around them - including children, who suffer irreparable damage/trauma from having to live with a psychotic parent.
“If my sister had cancer, or Parkinson’s or diabetes, she could get treatment. But because she is mentally ill, she is trapped in a reality distortion field from which she cannot escape without the medication she perversely refuses.” — Hilary de Vries https://t.co/xIHocIiS5i

This has to stop.

@Craig_A_Spencer People don't understand concept of herd immunity, epidemiologists should lay out exactly what it means - numbers of infected/recovered we'd need + deaths it would entail if we just "let the virus do its thing", even if true mortality rate is significantly lower than current rate.
