When I make furnitures, the first thing that comes to mind is logistics and easy movement. There have been times when colleagues will say “Isioma why you dey make the furniture in pieces? You dey waste material nau.” My response is, “if I make am as one big piece, how the person go take move am when he wan park comot?”
Sometimes they’ll reply, “Omo, that one concern them o. I don do my work, dem go find their way.”

Yes, it might not be my business but I’ve seen how difficult it is to move large furnitures from one apartment to the other. I have been called upon to help dismantle a piece of furniture when a Neighbour wants to move out. As a result of this, every furniture I make should be easy for two people to move, if possible, one person.

Meet the Uto table
Uto in Igbo means sweet because this table is a multipurpose table. It can be used as an office table, vanity (make up) table or study table.
It is easy to dismantle and recouple. The silver chrome is what holds the top and two storage compartments together. Plus, it comes with tyres legs for easy movement.

I made it as a part of the Chomma nail set.
