Clubfoot is a global scourge that affects children born worldwide, yet is easily and cheaply corrected in babies. That's why we don't see it in the US: It's fixed in infancy. A group called @miraclefeet is bringing this help abroad, as this tale shows: https://t.co/zqUICXE63K
Despite facing overwhelming challenges at the age of 27—losing her father, abandoned by her partner, and subject to severe stigma—Marsu’s love for her daughter Prayer never wavered.
On this #WorldDayOfSocialJustice, Marsu and Prayer's story is a powerful reminder that everyone born with clubfoot, regardless of circumstance, should have access to the care and support they need.
With the help of our partner in Liberia and buoyed by faith, Marsu found the treatment her daughter needed to ensure she could walk, run, and pursue a bright future. Read more: https://t.co/PVRenT0KMb

HANDS meets with the Lagos State Ministry of Health to push for early detection and free treatment access for children born with clubfoot. Every child deserves the chance to walk without limits!
Last week, the MiracleFeet Board of Directors met with our partner in Morocco to discuss our organization's impact. 📍👣
From casting little feet to discussing numbers, the meeting inspired our team for the year ahead. 💫
Jealous first learned about a peer-support program called "Ponseti Guides" after his daughter received clubfoot treatment from our partner, Zimbabwe Sustainable Clubfoot Program.
He attended a volunteer training and began counseling other families on treatment challenges, encouraging them through the different stages.
Today, ten years later, he's a seasoned Ponseti Guide who has helped countless other families find and complete clubfoot treatment. 👨🍼💜

When Sympathy was born with #clubfoot her parents faced severe stigma, discriminatory comments, pitying gazes, and social isolation.
Their community viewed Sympathy’s condition as a curse and thought her mother had been bewitched, perpetuating the harmful stereotypes and misconceptions that plague so many families whose children are born with clubfoot.
Sympathy’s father willed himself to be strong and encouraged his wife to do the same. “We won’t let fear dictate our actions, we will find a way to give Sympathy the best life possible.”
But Jealous didn’t stop at finding treatment for his own daughter: https://t.co/4Y2mS9DOvh

As MiracleFeet’s Application Support Manager, Andrianina has traveled to over 12 countries helping build partner capacity in training and data collection.
Traveling from Madagascar often means circuitous routes and long flights. Last year, Andrianina spent over 148 hours on airplanes! ✈️😮
Huge thanks to Andrianina for his dedication to ensuring clubfoot treatment is accessible to children around the globe. 🌎
Ramla Zafar, a 24-year-old physiotherapist in Pakistan, treats clubfoot patients on a volunteer basis. Born with #clubfoot herself, she understands how treatment can transform a young life.
When Mite (a MiracleFeet donor) met with her last year, Ramla shared that she treats up to 25 patients in a day. "I want to end disability [caused by untreated clubfoot] and I want every child to walk on their own feet," she says.
Thanks to dedicated healthcare workers like Ramla and donors like Mite, we're one step closer to ensuring every child born with clubfoot receives the treatment they need and deserve. 💜

We're hiring a Senior Program Field Officer to strengthen & expand our programs in the #Philippines with a focus on ensuring timely, high-quality, and equitable treatment for children born with #clubfoot. Additional details and application instructions: https://t.co/bV1kPP2bWi
