Ethiopia's ambassador briefed Uganda's military leadership on security in northern Ethiopia, and reports suggest the talks also covered Ethiopian nationals in Uganda, including anti-Ethiopia activists and journalists. Since then, several of them have stopped writing after receiving threats.
Sudan Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, addressing residents of the Amri area in Northern State today, reaffirmed his determination to continue the war until the rebellion is fully crushed and every inch of the country is liberated. Burhan stressed there would be no negotiations with the rebels, stating that decisions on war and peace belong to the Security and Defense Council.

Asmara Rejects the “Secession” Narrative and Reopens the Historical Dispute with Ethiopia
The Eritrean Embassy in Washington said describing Eritrea’s independence as simply “secession from Ethiopia” distorts history, stressing that Eritrea “was never part of the Ethiopian nation.”
Responding to an article by the Middle East Forum, the embassy said it presented a “selective and distorted” account of Eritrea’s history, overlooking its experience as an Italian colony, its federation with Ethiopia, what it described as subsequent military occupation, and the armed struggle for independence.
It added that such a distorted portrayal of history also leads to a misunderstanding of Asmara’s current position on the Red Sea.
ETHIOPIA ― The day Tigray’s regional leaders left Mekelle, reports emerged of widespread looting across parts of Tigray, particularly in Mekelle, where numerous government offices, police stations, and even the regional president’s office were reportedly looted.
In an interview with the BBC, Mekelle resident Fitsum Berhane said the extensive looting had created a severe security threat for residents.
“For the past ten days, the situation in this city has been like hell. It has been a hell that makes you feel even worse than what you experienced during the Tigray war two years ago,” he said.
Fitsum said severe insecurity, growing fears for personal safety, and a shortage of cash had made the past 10 days particularly difficult, describing the situation as worse than the siege and blockade of 2020/21.

My point of view is, crime and lawlessness in Tigray are nothing new. What has changed today is the convenient scapegoat.
During the previous Tigray war, many allegations of looting and other crimes, particularly those committed by Tigrayan criminals themselves, were frequently blamed on “Eritrean forces”, because it was easy to shift the blame and get away with their crime, while that narrative was also politically useful and reinforced by Tigray officials at the time.
But today, there are no Eritrean troops readily available to blame for crimes they have reportedly committed against their own people and institutions.
The old excuse is no longer work. The perpetrators cannot simply outsource their crimes to Eritrea and walk away from accountability.
UPDATE🚨‼️
I have got off the phone with my cousin who is a Fano fighter in Wegdi right now. He says that they haven’t captured the ENDF General but have surrounded the entire area and that he is hiding. He told me the amount of ENDF who died protecting this man is saddening.
Abiy Ahmed’s legacy is nothing but HORROR, DESTRUCTION and DEATH.
Eight years of devastating war, the Amhara Genocide, mass displacement, sham elections, a sham transitional government, a fake national dialogue, staged inaugurations, endless lies, and relentless propaganda designed to confuse, convince, manipulate, and divide the public along ethnic and religious lines, and even through gender and generational divisions.
Oromuma Prosperity Gospel: his party may be called “Prosperity,” but Ethiopia’s reality is anything but prosperous. Social media influencers are paid to hype an image of prosperity that ordinary Ethiopians simply do not see, while the economy has been driven further into the ground.
He cannot seem to survive a day without war and suffering.
And now, after eight years of hell, he goes on national television telling Ethiopians to prepare for war with neighboring countries while simultaneously on a devastating war against his own people inside Ethiopia.
His drones have been used against civilians and struck places of worship, schools, hospitals and other civilian sites hundreds of times. Meanwhile, much of the so called “National Defense Force” what we Ethiopians see as Abiy’s personal killing machine is still being sent in Amhara, Afar, and Tigray region. At what point does this madness end?
This is not leadership. It is a catastrophe.
At this point, Abiy Ahmed’s decision making, state of mind, and apparent obsession with conflict deserve serious scrutiny. His record places him among the most destructive leaders in Ethiopian history and potentially among the most destructive political leaders of this era. Future historians and experts will have to examine how one man’s pursuit of power and constant escalation brought such devastation to an entire country.
Ethiopia has paid an unbearable price in blood, displacement, poverty, and trauma. The country cannot survive another chapter of this insanity. Abiy Ahmed’s political future cannot be allowed to become Ethiopia’s destruction. His administration must be held accountable for what it has done and Ethiopia urgently needs a way out before he drags the entire country down with him.
