One thing I've learned this year:
People can genuinely care about you and still not have the capacity to love you the way you need to be loved.
That's why self-respect is important. Sometimes choosing yourself means walking away from something you wish could've worked.
It's selfish to enter someone's life, see that they're a loving, cheerful, and good person, and decide to ruin their present because you haven't dealt with your own issues. Leave people alone if you have no intention of showing up with sincerity
Unhealed men really DO repeat the same toxic patterns with every woman ๐ญ Same lies. Same cheating. Same inconsistency. Same emotional damage. Then swear โall women crazyโ whole time YOU the common denominator
I take being lied to very seriously because, for real, I'm one of the most understanding people you'll ever meet. I understand that things happen, life doesn't always go as planned, feelings change, and i get that. But to sit there and lie to me is such an unnecessary slap on my face because you literally have no reason to.
I was born for romantic love, Sunday family barbecues, quality time, lying on the chest of the person I love, spending time with my love ones, little gestures, feeling deeply, all of it.
I think Iโm slowly starting to understand that no matter how badly I want things to go back to how they were, they canโt. Too much has changed between us now. Too many things were said, too many feelings were damaged, too much distance has settled into places that once felt safe. And maybe thatโs the hardest part to accept.
Can we talk about how unfair it is that the people who traumatized you, get to move on and progress with their life so easily and carefree. meanwhile you're healing and relearning all the basics just so you can feel human again? ๐ฉ
i realized that no one, not even my mother or closest friends knows what iโm actually like in the inside of my head, and the only person who actually knows who i am is me
