Kew gardens with bikes last night: despite thunderstorm, great fun. Sheltered in the temperate house. Cycled from work via tow path to see if i could spot the dolphin seen earlier at Craven cottage: forgot how uncomfortable the path is on a road bike...
As Pen Ponds water level lowered for repairs, freshwater mussels have been scavenged and visible on the shore. This one must be a good age, a bit sad to see it dead
@LondonHogWatch curious as to if this is hedgehog? We have badgers and fox visiting. Two half peanuts but the rest was beetle cases. In Kingston KT2. If it is, I will alert my neighbours!
The still pond at Isabella Plantation is always worth a walk by at this time of year. Whilst the colours are somewhat indigestible, the spectacle rivals Augusta..Wilf and Flint were typically uncooperative for photos #richmondpark
@richardmorrisuk@SurreyBirdNews You are right, closed from 8pm, so time to look is just about 6.30 and helps that i had the bike...lots of little owls calling but no barn owl spotted tonight. Was a bit windy which is not ideal
Can't believe I have just seen a bona fide BARN owl in Richmond Park. Was sitting on a bench near rugby fields towards White Lodge, then hawking over field. I suspect it was an escape though? owl pellets on bench? @FRPTweets@HarrietMead1 @themarshtit #richmondparkbirds
