I think it is hard to be truly authentic online. There is a lot of judgement on social media when people do not conform with the 'social norm'. It is very easy to alter reality with technology, to only display some essence of the truth.

Although I hate to admit it, I am always thinking consciously of how I am portrayed online. I rarely post, and when I do it is content I deem worthy for others to view. I am always logged in, to observing online. In the future I hope to have an active online presence.
