@standartmag is a great example of physical media feeling so alive.
It’s a magazine dedicated entirely to speciality coffee and the people that surround it.
The writing is delicious, the detailing is exquisite and love and care just pours through each page.
The internet is great at distribution but physical manifestations of obsession >>>
Amber is (still) the new blue in tech 🍊
Blue was the colour of trust.
Amber feels like the colour of possibility.
Maybe it’s a small indication of what we’re craving from technology now: less sterile efficiency, more warmth, more humanity.

interesting that @Substack is live tweeting “THE ONCE AND FUTURE MEDIA FORUM” on @X but i haven’t seen anything from their main account on Substack itself or Notes.
real-time cultural relevance still seems to live on X.
Excerpts from “Becoming Irreplaceable” w/ @zebriez & @tamarawinter.
- “Make contact with reality as many times as possible: ship things, risk things, fail on real margins.”
- “Borrow other people’s standard of excellence and hold yourself to it.”
- “You will rise up or fall down to the standard of people you’re creating/collaborating with/for.”
- “Instead of ‘individual taste’, how have ‘institutes of taste’ (cc: @NewYorker, @Apple, @Pixar, @FortuneMagazine etc) been cultivated?”
& so much more..
I’ve been drawn to their words and ideas for a looong time and having them in a room together shifted something for me and made me metabolize my own.

I’m so excited I had @glycemag on Second Screen, my Substack. Haven’t shared much from it yet because most of the creatives I feature don’t really live on X but got lucky with Domingo :)
I’ve been interacting with @glycemag online for a while now, through him I found new rabbit holes, artists, archives and entire ways of seeing.
We spoke about internet taste, image culture, curation, references, visual memory and what it means to build an aesthetic practice online today. Read below!

Few snippets from “AI, Human Agency, and the Future of a Free Society” w/ @interintellect_@TheAnnaGat
Some questions I’ve been thinking about post:
- “The least theorised & least predicted technology was the internet.
The most theorised & most predicted technology is AI.” Yet why are we so uncertain where this goes?
- What are the new cultural practises, rituals we can build?
- Are we in a tension between the Age of Reason and the Age of Romanticism?
- What other forms/mediums of consumption will emerge (like reading) that include friction which helps with retention?
- What can you actually do with AI that you can’t with humans?

super excited bec i'm hosting an (intimate) event called "idle gaze" w/ @nodefnd on 21st may in palo alto.
the event is inspired by @broskoski's episode on @DialecticPod. it’s where i first came across the 'bohm dialogue' and i haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
at its core, the dialogue is about building thought together. open-ended, generative conversation where people don’t debate or perform but genuinely add onto each other’s thinking.
so if you're in sf, come spend an evening looking at generative art while having a generative conversation :)
p.s. the show in exhibition is @beeple: / INFINITE_LOOP

Built my personal (utility) website entirely w/ @claudeai - a small corner of the internet where my podcast, writing, projects and lore can finally live under one roof.
Still iterating but if you want to reach out for the pod, talk AI, suggest someone for the newsletter or just get coffee - you can now do all of that here 💌
Now onto the company website 👀
