We are absolutely delighted to have won at The Press Awards last night!
To be recognised for all our projects, stories and work is huge.
Thank you to all our readers, work partners and colleagues who continuously support our work! It means so much.
@LucyMPowell Thank you! What you said at the Liverpool launch was right - we are a much kinder, compassionate brilliant country than a tiny minority want us to believe.
I’m so lucky to have worked with @JohnDomokos@missdonnelli@Journo_MaryamQ on these films!
We’ve been on tour across the country speaking to people doing amazing things, from a Birmingham charity who support up to 400 people a week at their coffee mornings, to a group of dedicated volunteers in Bradford, who often butter up to 400 slices of bread a day in the school holidays so no child goes hungry.

This weekend Britain will celebrate a million moments of kindness, solidarity & connection as part of the
Million Acts of Hope campaign - the broadest & deepest coalition of charities, community groups & faith organisations this decade. A letter signed by over 70k people, 239 charity partners & countless community groups – ran in Wednesday's Mirror. “To the people who give up evenings and weekend lie-ins,” the letter said. “Who pour tea, answer phones, raise funds, make lunches… To the people that get people talking – across divides and in tricky times. We thank you."

Have you watched the new film in our #IslandofStrangers series? As Britain slugs its way through the Culture Wars, divided over everything from LGBTQ+ rights to multiculturalism, we headed to Cardiff to visit The Posh Club - a cabaret night for over-60s on a working class estate, featuring Rahim, a belly dancing Moroccan refugee https://t.co/eQvBIvFOs5
“How over-60s club with belly dancing is debunking #racism”
In the @DailyMirror brand new YouTube series #IslandofStrangers, we visit The Posh Club in #Cardiff - a ground-breaking arts event that brings cabaret to the over-60s in communities in the UK
