Why was Chaskalson in such a hurry to flight those texts? Because once those WhatsApp messages hit the public record, the toothpaste is out of the tube. The media broadcasts them, the public reads the receipts regarding Joe "Ferrari" Sibanyoni, and Sindane’s High Court interdict becomes entirely pointless. You can't interdict a secret that's already being broadcast on live TV.
Why did Madlanga hit the brakes? He's playing the long game. He knows that if Chaskalson flights the chats today while the postponement argument is technically pending, Masuku will sprint straight to the High Court screaming a breach of administrative justice and the audi alteram partem ("hear the other side") principle.
Chaskalson’s grudging acceptance isn't a defeat, he knows he has the smoking gun loaded and cocked. He's letting the defence sweat in their "spiritual seclusion" for another 48 hours while the trap snaps shut!🍿

WARNING | Women in and around Kempton Park, particularly the Rhodesfield area, must exercise extreme caution following the discovery of the bodies of four women in the same area over a period of approximately two months.
The latest body was discovered on Saturday evening.
Preliminary information gathered by detectives indicates concerning similarities in the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The bodies of the women were found half naked and with visible bruising, and the discovery sites are located within the same vicinity.
While investigations are still underway and SAPS has not, at this stage, confirmed that the deaths are linked to a serial killer, the similarities are sufficiently concerning for the police to issue a public warning and intensify investigations.
Women in and around Kempton Park are urged not to walk or run alone, particularly in isolated areas. They should avoid secluded spaces, remain vigilant and, where possible, travel or exercise in groups.
The safety of women remains a priority for SAPS, and the police will not wait for further incidents before taking decisive action.
Members of the public with information can contact Warrant Officer Elvis Manyike on 082 465 7249 or provide information anonymously through the MySAPS APP.
