Echoing anvils and hammers turned to raging fires and war cries, tranquility amidst chaos.
// think I might start rolling some dice to vary the hit, miss, success or failure rate of certain events. This is a DnD character after all, plus it'd mean he wasn't a subconsciously written Dwarf of steel.
A nod was offered as the old Dwarf shifted his weight, shifting his knapsack forward on a shoulder in the meantime. He searched for a small, tanned leather pouch and a wooden pipe carved from Witch's Wood; it was home to the Mountain range Ogguri hailed from, a cave tree. -
Those reptillian eyes of hers widen in delight as she began to hop around quite excitedly. She seems rather proud to hear that from him!
"Ah. I am relieved to hear that. I guess I am just worried people may be scared of me. I mean no harm, really. It just hurts when people-
- He let it idly hang over that shoulder before collecting a matchbook from a side pocket; one spark against the stone siding of the pipes bowl later, he was smoking.
"Aye," said Ogguri, looking aside as he did. "Friends're great an' all - save yer arse, t'ey will. -
Has someone recently spoken out against the use of trousers?
Welp, a shirtless Ogguri can be seen borrowing a forge to repair and improve his axe; he wore nothing but a treated apron and TROUSERS.
He should be intimidating: Ogguri was the Commander of his own Battalion, back in his Legionaire days; a skilled, talented Blacksmith as well. He held no ill will for the Draconic being before him - his well kept moustache twitched slightly.

None of them wanted to further irritate their shorter counterpart; he's already beaten them down mentally, physically and spiritually. All they needed was a bit of rebuilding.
"Keep lookin' ahead!" Exclaimed an older, armored Mountain Dwarf; his head was shaven bald, and a highly maintained silver beard fell over his hauberk. "Ye lot'll be blindsided by th' fockin' Pixies if ye dinnae listen!"
He'd been yet another faceless traveler in the village -
- "Th' Heavens be more interestin' than me, aye?"
Ogguri's question needn't be answered, he caught the lad daydreaming. Again.
"Lookin' like yer ALL gonna be runnin' 'till nigh'fall, t'en!" The Dwarf laughed sinisterly as complaints arose; with only a glare, they began -
Ogguri drinks not because he enjoys it, but due to an inability to naturally fall asleep; if he were to do so, nightmare's from the darkest Abyss would haunt him.
