Being a Packers fan in Chiefs Kingdom and a Yankees fan in Cardinal Country means I’ve spent most of my life defending myself in sports conversations.
NFL/NBA/MLB commentary, live reactions & occasional irrational confidence.
@DanClarkSports I feel the only opinion on this that matters is the wife’s. If she is okay with them being away that should be good enough for everybody else.
@DanClarkSports@Yankees He probably deserves some credit. Just having a high payroll doesn’t guarantee success. There have been many teams that proved that. He builds good teams, he needs to figure out how to go from good to great to finally deliver another World Series title to the Bronx.
@JLas43_ To be fair, for 3/4 of the teams in the league they would love to have the success these guys are having. There is a higher bar for the Yankees though
@SleeperYankees I’d put more on Boone. The Yankees are not losing this series because the Rays have a more talented team. They are losing because they are a more fundamentally sound team. Sloppy fundamentals have been a recurring issue on Boone led teams, and that is a killer in the postseason.
@TitleTownTalks Idk how you can watch this team get kicked around by laughingstock Falcons and barely survive against a back up QB led Bucs and think they’re the front runners. Do they still have a chance? Yes, but they’ve got a lot of work to do.
@SleeperYankees 6
Schlittler will give them a chance. Offense is going to have to do something. Offense is too boom or bust to have a ton of confidence in.
@SeeColes Packers have the talent to make some noise BUT that won’t happen unless LaFleur finds a way to bring out the best in the players he has, cut down on the sloppiness, and instill some discipline on this team. Team is desperately crying out for leadership, someone needs to step up.
@SleeperYankees It definitely wasn’t a great performance by any means, but they also had a lot of bad luck as well. Many hard hit balls that found a glove. As bad as the stat line looks they were getting good contact against Rasmussen.
@RGIII@OuttaPocketRG3 Very borderline. I probably say no, didn’t look like he really effected the wr ability to catch the ball. I can see why it was called though. There was a lot of contact before the ball got the and the WR put an Oscar-worthy performance to sell it.
@mrlongshore I feel like with the speed at which these players play, the only way a QB to slide safely is if they do it plenty early. If they fight for the extra yards and force the defender to make a split second decision they put themselves at risk.
@DanRiffle The slide was definitely on the later side. The defender probably wouldn’t have had enough time to avoid contact entirely, but he could have tried to minimize it, which he didn’t do.
@_Blxzer How dare he have friendly interactions with someone from the other team 🙄 you serious with that take. Personally I don’t really care what he does after the game l, as long as during the game he is invested in helping the packers win however he can.
