If you are concerned I will not remember and still wish to reconnect, DM me.
I’ll be giving my all to the circles where I *can* make a difference. Where I can trust my surroundings and not attract hate for existing or enjoying harmless things.
Empathy is a tough gift. It’s less tough the more people who have it, and it’s a better world the more people who have it. So, in the face of louder hate and amplified sociopathy, it is a moral responsibility for those with empathy to do all they can to take care of themselves.
News continues to get worse, so...I’m making the strategic decision to not use this account again for self-care. I’m sure that I’ll hear of positive changes if they ever do happen, but I have neither the visibility nor resources to counter hate or influence justice here.

Why corporate pride is a bunch of hogshite reputation laundering, happy to throw rainbow colours on your corporate logo for a month, while funnelling money to anti LGBT politicians.
HIM: I call everyone "dude". It's not a gender thing. I don't mean anything by it.
ME: No problem. I call everyone Daddy.
HIM: What?
ME: Nothing Daddy.
HIM: That creeps me out.
ME: But I've explained that it means nothing to ME Daddy. I thought we agreed that was good enough.
Not that I expect my voice to reach or ever be desired to be broadcasted at that level, but you never know given the random/sockpuppet accounts they find to manufacture some propaganda with. The internet is unpredictable.
Quite frankly, I should probably say this for posterity: any media outlet that retweets or uses my content at any point in time, including long after this tweet, does not do so with my permission unless I explicitly say a specific instance has it prior to its publication.
Nope, you don’t get to reblog my anger at Democrats for their inaction (in countering you). That is reserved for those who support LGBT+ rights, black and indigenous lives, other religions and ways of life (and thus do not evangelize tirelessly), the choices of women, etc.
I'd probably end up making the same decisions myself, given the stakes and numbers, but...oof. Like, those are really big areas reserved for things barely tangentially related to the subject matter, much less ones reserved for regular advertising updates.
...watching a video on a museum I love. Extremely good museum, lots of love and passion there, and they're making good decisions given contexts.
But gosh does seeing blatant advertising and sponsor-appeasing taking up more floorspace hurt my idealist spirit.
The events in Ottawa are making it clear that white supremacy/stupidity, acab, governmental corruption, and the abuse of marginalized communities are not limited to the US. There is no safe country.
The only solution is direct action, resistance, and systemic overhauls

Guys please please please spread this
U.S. Congress has reintroduced a bill called the #EarnItAct. This is the most dangerous bill I have ever seen when it comes to online privacy and free speech. Essentially, it's going to censor the entire internet. Thread:
Instead of respecting employees' right to form a union, Starbucks just FIRED the entire union leadership of a store in Memphis. This is not only grossly illegal, it demonstrates that Starbucks values profits over the well-being of their workers, and proves WHY they need a union.
Gonna be honest. Really considering deleting this account. I mainly kept it for staying informed, but...I'm beginning to feel like things are as simple as they seem.
