Representation MATTERS. It’s about the kid in your class who has to visit the food bank on a weekly basis. The kid who has two mums but doesn’t talk about it because it’s STILL an issue in society. Windows and mirrors…Lucky to work in a school and Trust that promotes this!

I adore seeing beautiful book corners. Or literal aeroplane reading areas. Or book gazebos. Such time & care taken on the environment. If not used regularly & purposefully they are just wall paper. Tbh, a teacher who shares a joy of books and allows time for RfP is more powerful.

The fact that recruitment to primary initial teacher training courses has dropped by 20% this year is a massive concern but totally predictable. Pay steadily eroded, funding cuts to school budgets and support services for pupils, workload, Ofsted...it's a tough sell right now.
