This week I truly saw my moms hard work with technology pay off. Unfortunately, a neighbour had passed away and in order to attend the funeral my mom needed to look up the funeral home, find the obituary and sign in to attend. I was very proud of her for doing this on her own!

This week my mom was able to use her skills she has learned thus far on Facebook to make a successful sale on Market Place. #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

This week I assisted my mom in setting up a profile on Facebook Market Place. It was a great learning process and next week she will try to creat a post for another item to be sold! #LetsTeachAdults #YEP

This week I decided to incorporate the multiple intelligences questionnaire into our lesson. I had emailed the link to my mom and allowed her the opportunity to open the email, then the link I had sent to her and complete the questionnaire attached. #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

This week we continued to work with YouTube, but now added a new task of finding a video and sharing it via email. This week I took the time to listen to my mom and work with confirmatory paraphrasing, when she become frustrated. #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

This week my mom and I look at exploring YouTube. For this lesson we addressed specific features like the search tab and how to search a specific video. The picture below shows how she practiced searching videos with guidance and then alone. #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

To continue my teaching with my mother I thought it would be most effective to begin this semester off with a brief questionnaire to set goals and expectations my mother has for herself and I. #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

With the Christmas season coming and Covid 19 in full force my mom asked me if I could work with her using the family iPad to look up some stores to look for gifts. I loved the excitement and interest she has taken in using technology! #YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults
