Aunt has just told a very simple story and my nan has questioned her so much and gone on such a tangent that my aunt is now questioning who she is…she’s been sucked into this farce now, I feel for her. We’re the only sane people here…

My dad is doing his dying swan act and sulking because mum hasn’t let him go to the pub, mum is moaning about everything, my nan has asked me multiple times if my friend’s boyfriend is on strike today (multiple times I’ve told her no and even messaged my friend for confirmation)

When Facebook notifies you that it’s the birthday of your uni friend that died earlier this year - God, that hit me like a sucker punch. Life is cruel. Hadn’t seen him for a few years as he’d been very poorly, but my God I miss him.

He had to give up our course early due to ill health, and sometimes when I want to throw in the towel, I have a word with myself and remind myself that some people weren’t lucky enough to get to where I’ve got to

So emotional this week. Things I’ve cried at: a child helping somebody with their apron, another child getting excited over a wake and shake dance, Stay Another Day, children decorating the Christmas tree half way up because they can’t reach any higher…I could go on 🤣
