@LearningMaths Equivalent but don’t represent the same thing? Fraction is positional but the division I see as 3 wholes divided into 7 equal parts. Might look like a number line but the division is the whole representation not a position on it. Would love to know how others see it!

@CheerVix @KatieMc05176779 @mathsjem @JoLocke1 @StudyMaths @mdawesmdawes In terms of naming bands on a SOW etc with only two bands how distinctly different will they be? Banding is tricky and fraught with difficulties.

@CheerVix @KatieMc05176779 @mathsjem @JoLocke1 @StudyMaths @mdawesmdawes I like teacher initials. E.g. 11ECL. Students can only tell that I’m their teacher and they’re on the east side. I know their ‘ability’ but it doesn’t need broadcasting. This is particularly useful for our MA groups. Parents can wrongly assume 7E5 is bottom set etc.
