Been great to work with the Year 6 pupils from Falla Park Primary School (Felling, Gateshead) this week to create the content for their Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly. I’m lucky to work at schools all over the world now, but something very special about working with a school on your doorstep and some ‘great bairns from The Felling’. Star performer award from the staff this year goes to @Miss__McVeigh for her very enthusiastic dancing. Year 6 have worked in teams to be creative to research, plan, design, write instructions and make their very own board game! We thought about what careers this would involve, from designers to marketing! The children love testing each others games out and giving feedback!

For careers day, the children worked in pairs to create their own countries, thinking about what jobs they would need to thrive. They then thought about how transport between countries would work, creating their own world! 🌍🗺️ @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla @Mrs_Crellin

In Maths, Year 6 were tasked with finding recipes, scaling ingredients and working out costs. Today they got to make their final products and tomorrow they will sell them to make a profit! @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla @MissDoyle_Falla 🧁🍪

Year 6 loved visiting Thistleyhaugh Farm yesterday. They learned all about soil, sheep shearing, Pygmy goats and more! They especially loved seeing the sheepdogs at work! 🐑🐄🐐🚜 @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla @CountryTrust @Mrs_Crellin

This week we also visited Safety Works where the children learnt about road, water, fire and dog safety. They also learnt how to keep themselves safe on a day out with friends in the sun! Thank you @safetyworksuk for helping to keep us safe! @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla

Yesterday we enjoyed a day at Gibside full of activities to support children’s health and wellbeing. They had so much fun working in teams, communicating to guide someone while blindfolded and learning different meditation techniques! @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla
