Hello, long time no tweet! Just wondered if there are any year 2 teachers out there who wouldn’t mind me running a lesson idea past them for an interview I’ve got next week? I would be so grateful if anyone would be willing for me to dm them about this! TIA ☺️ #edutwitter
Haven’t posted in over a year as I haven’t had much to share but returning with some good news… after about 15 teaching interviews in the past year I have finally accepted a new job as a HLTA! A step closer to full time teaching 👩🏻🏫 so excited to get started after Easter! 🤩✨
@PaulaWe49122931 Thank you so much! I’m hoping it’ll do the same for me - I did my PGCE 2019-20 so had one less placement than I should’ve. Been trying to get a teaching job since then and been doing TA for the past 18 months. Hopefully this will get me closer to fully teaching! x
First week of my new job as a teaching assistant complete ✅
It’s been an amazing, tiring but completely rewarding week (even if today was strange because of the news about the Queen). I’m so happy I decided to take this job. Already feel at home at my lovely school 🤍
Had such a lovely transition afternoon at my new school today despite the heat! It was amazing to meet the class and everyone I’ll be working with in September, made it feel so real 🥹
The day has finally come where I can say these words… I GOT A JOB!!! 🥳 It’s not the one I originally went for but there were two roles available, so from September I will be a teaching assistant in year 2 mainly supporting two pupils with SEN! I could not be happier 😭🥰
So I didn’t get the job today but I kinda knew I’d messed up and not shown the best of myself, annoying because my nerves always seem to just get the better of me 😢 however I have also just found out I’ve got another interview on Friday, also for a TA in EYFS 🤞🏼
