I've found an app where I can watch all 10 seasons of #greatbritishsewingbee, which is such a tonic after the dreadful reboot of #ProjectRunway, where personalities are out of proportion to the sewing challenges 95:5.

The new #ProjectRunway is a hot mess. Having Law judge the unconventional materials on styling rather than on use of materials was nonsensical. And now having the designers vote one of themselves out? This show is becoming Shirley Jackson’s “Lottery” w/o the meaningful dialogue.

#ProjectRunway I’m missing the process—the shopping for fabric, the thinking through a design, the pattern cutting, the stitching. The proportion is 70% catty quips and maybe 30% skill with textiles. Please reverse the balance: your outfit’s on upside down. (Reposted bc typo.)
