@doomslide I agree. LLMs are relying on the spine of existing literature so they can glue together the proper hypotheses mod extreme computational power + insightful nudging. But LLMs being reliable for genuinely new, non-obvious and non-historically documented insights? Can’t foresee it.

Been working on this since 2015. Finally it's put together--173 pages of god-awful analytic estimates and building a category theory around making sense of the calculations, but we've built a genuinely new Gamma function--prime Gamma. Will be working on getting it published next.
