✨Former year 1 teacher, but now rocking year 3/4! We are busy bee's 🐝 in 3/4C @MiltonPrimary17. Check in weekly to see what we've been learning about. 🔎🐛🧠
Today we said goodbye to our sweet classmate Nadia. The children worked hard on making her a special book in secret with Miss Cowell and we of course couldn’t let her leave without a few presents. We miss you already, Nadia!! Have an amazing time in Poland!
Today we completed day 1 of our ks2 move-a-thon! We walked/jogged/ran around the field 8 times! Super effort by all and a great start to our day 😊🌞 #year3
Lovely to see our Heddlu Bach friends from @RinglandPrimary on our community walk around this afternoon, thinking about how to make our community a better place to be. @GPNewport @NewportCityH@MissChoo17
3SC have absolutely loved participating in Milton’s coronation cake-off this week! It was very exciting having Mrs Burke taste and evaluate our class jar cake. We were thrilled to come 3rd place in the KS2 category! 👑 🧁 Super well done to 5S and 4R for coming 1st & 2nd place!
Today we completed our science experiment on chemical reactions. We found out that mixing baking soda and vinegar causes a big chemical reaction because of the carbon dioxide they release. We of course then had to test it out in our clay volcanoes! #year3 @MrsRoche1
I am so proud of 3SC’s floral artwork! They chose their own inspiration and planned which painting techniques and textures they wanted to include. Beautiful outcome to the end of our expressive arts topic 🎨 #year3
We’ve been very arty in topic this week! We’ve looked at different shades of colours, how to mix paint to make different colours and how to make different textures when painting. #year3
Thank you #ChristineMcGuinness for your fantastic live reading of your wonderful story ‘Amazing me, amazing you’! 3SC loved your story and loved Hannah’s tutorial on how to draw a character from the book. We learnt so much more about autism! #AutismAcceptanceWeek@scholasticuk
This week is #WorldAutismAcceptanceWeek Today in literacy we listened to a story about a little boy with autism and in the afternoon, we started some artwork. We discussed what the puzzle pieces and the rainbow colours symbolise for the autistic community #year3#proudteacher
Today in maths we applied our 2D shape knowledge to some problem solving with matchsticks! We talked about the shapes we could see, the difference between the number of matchsticks in each pattern, the number of right angles in each pattern and the next patterns in the sequence!
Today 3SC worked incredibly hard on their independent retells of the story ‘The promise’ and I could not be more proud of them! They tried their very best to remember every single capital letter and full stop and included some fantastic adjectives and similes! 🌟 #year3
Today we discussed the theme of ‘connection’ in aid of #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek . We talked about how we can connect with each other, what connections we have with each other and why it’s important to connect! #year3@Place2Be
Today we used our super collaboration skills to create the inventions that we designed. We had ‘chef crouton’ who makes and serves any meal on demand and ‘robot roller’ who automatically gets all pet hair off your clothes! More junk modelling tomorrow! 😊 #year3
I’m topic, we’ve been thinking of how inventions can help solve our everyday problems. 3SC were so creative with their inventions and thought really carefully about what problems they have in the morning before school! #year3
3SC had their first trumpet lesson today and they absolutely loved it!! Lots of giggles but lots of newly-learnt skills. We can’t wait for our next lesson! #year3
Super measuring going on in 3SC. Measuring weight in g and capacity in ml/l in maths then applying our weighing to our rocks experiment in science! #year3
