PGDE Primary student 21/22 @UniStrathclyde ๐๐๐ Interested in Primary PE and the development of physical activity in primary. Hockey player and sports coach.
Primary 5 are exploring Light in science so today we combined a magnifying glass with a kaleidoscope to see things in all different colours. P5 came up with the name of kaleidoglass. Excellent work, very fun and practical!
Very proud of P5โs Planet Earth cardboard paintings to celebrate #EarthDay. We have still to put our messages of how we can help protect Earth on them but so far they look amazing!! #StrathPGDE
Quick visit back to @CraigdhuPrimary today, planning for block 2 and got the biggest welcome from my P5 class in the playground. Fair to say I am so excited to go back after Easter and explore more learning with this awesome class!
Huge thanks to @SATPE_Primary for the twilight PE session tonight! Looking forward to bringing some of that back into placement and beyond. So good being able to see some of #Team4 and of course our fearless leader @evelynhart20#StrathPGDE
Had our last LCE and STEM seminars this week. So taking this opportunity to thank @Angela_deBritos and @grierson_ann for all their support and encouragement. Going into last block of placement with more confidence. #StrathPGDE
Such a fun day at Glasgow Science centre with P5s learning about all the ways we can help protect planet earth! Best part was the IMAX movie filmed from the international space station! Kids and I loved it!
Amazing PE session learning about how to teach primary gymnastics! Being a hedgehog has never been so much fun! Big thanks to our awesome #Team4 leader @evelynhart20! #cheer
Some days,22months in, it still hits like a shovel in the face that we've lost so much of what we loved. Iโคpeople,Iโคteaching & Iโค the best wee @StrathEdu#StrathPGDE#Team4. So here's a selfie of a crazy woman freed from WFH & #Team4 working on body tension in balances #lockit
Working on some STEM work this week in early years. Colours and reactions as well as making fake snow โ๏ธ and working on fine motor skills! To top it all off, Santaโs reindeer turned up! I was definitely more excited that the kids!
Last day of placement today was emotional to say the least. Face masks are good for hiding tears. Had the best first placement with my P3 class! And amazing class teacher. I taught them how to play hockey & shapes but they taught me more than they will ever know!
Week 4 of placement already! Had a proud teacher moment yesterday whilst the kids are learning about 3D shapes! Making cubes with straws and play dough! And they turned out so great!! Such a good way to discuss vertices and edges!
Last weekend before my first placement. Iโm absolutely bricking it but also full of excitement to learn all there is to learn about becoming a successful teacher! Massive thanks to @evelynhart20 for the amazing support so far! #StrathPGDE@StrathEDU
So happy about my placement school and with primary 3 ๐คฉ Very excited but also super nervous/ slightly terrified. Any help/tips would be much appreciated ๐๐ #StrathPGDE@StrathEDU
Really great to see Team 4s different talk boxes today for LCE with @Angela_deBritos My curiosity for the solar system led me to my idea. (My dog was not happy after I used her balls as the sun and the earth ๐) #StrathPGDE@StrathEDU@UniStrathclyde
Busy Monday finished with becoming a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. Still a long way to go to fully understand Microsoft and technology in education but itโs a good start ๐คฉ @StrathEDU@MSEducationUK
2 really good workshops this week in drama and art. Really good ideas in each area for kids focus and fun projects. Thanks to @grierson_ann and Wilma Eaton for really engaging lessons. My future primary kids have big shoes to fill looking at my art work ๐๐
