@ShacklewellE8 Yesterday we became authors when we created our versions of the story ‘On the Way Home’ by Jill Murphy. Today, we recorded them on Keynote. We absolutely loved bringing our stories to life!
@ShacklewellE8 During our geography lesson this week, we demonstrated our understanding of the weather we experience in different seasons by drawing the clothing we would wear during these periods. We even labelled our pictures to explain the different clothing @NewWaveFed
@ShacklewellE8 During science today, Year 1 matched the seasons to different images of deciduous trees. We were able to explain what happens to these types of trees over a year! @NewWaveFed#science#plants
@ShacklewellE8 Year 1 had the most incredible day @kewgardens! We loved exploring the different areas and plants in the children garden. We especially enjoyed becoming meteorologists by using different equipment to measure the weather @NewWaveFed

@ShacklewellE8 Today Year 1 travelled back to 1666 as King Charles II need architects to redesign the city after the Great Fire. We made sure we remembered his rules for a safer city - including houses made from brick and stone. We hope he likes our plans! @NewWaveFed
