I worked for this Trust. Behaviour in one of the schools was so bad the teachers went on strike.

Detentions and exclusion are necessary features of school behaviour systems. They can also be delivered with love, care, and compassion. It’s absurd this even needs spelling out.

@MrPostsGood Only once. Met him in passing one time when he did an inspection which consisted of him popping his head in the living room & saying hi. He installed a new dishwasher the day after we mentioned ours had packed it in. The only decent, selfless landlord I’ve come across. Outlier.

As i discuss in my Manosphere cpd session, we need to call in, not call out. A few assemblies or lessons won't change things. It takes an understanding of what pulls them in, modelling the behaviour we want them to replicate, building a culture of safety & respect.
