I sincerely hope Trump has lost the vote of every sane teacher and every sane parent in America. Reopening schools in the midst of a raging pandemic is madness, cruelty, and stupidity all wrapped up into one.
Today was the best day β£οΈ this is our happy place. Honored to have been your partner this semester @MissDrayton_ πππ (one of our students took the second and third pictures π)
Sometimes it's better to turn negatives into positives. Click on my blog to read how social media has negatively impact some people's live but others have used it to start strong and powerful movements #smsc2019

Who missed my blog post from Thursday? Check it out, this week I explained how to become an influencer and I must say.. after my research I am strongly considering it.

Specific movements such as #Metoo gave women and victims the voice to speak out on their experiences without fear of ridicule of judgement on such a sensitive topic. #smsc2019
While protesting may have worked for Hong Kong in 2014, it may not work for the environment they are in today as times have changes, things have adapted, and it may be harder to reach people and have them listen and create change #smsc2019
I feel sometimes the best step moving forward in situations is taking things to social media. Especially in situations similar to the one in Hong Kong, they have been fighting for 3 months & protesting the limitation of the freedoms but barely any movement has been done #smsc2019
It is hard for people to compromise through social media especially with movements or rebellions because both sides struggle with finding a common ground or agreement. This is also because of online-enabled extremists and their interaction with people via social media #smsc2019
I disagree with the statement that rebellions drive by social media have all ended in failure. This is because I have seen firsthand the benefits of speaking up and using social media as a resource when you want to catch the attention and bring attention to an issue #smsc2019
It also is not recommended that there are leaders on these social media activist platforms because there should not always be a leader everyone is supposed to be viewed as equal for the most part #smsc2019
Social networks can make it hard for people who are in this positions because they have more tools to handle and use to communicate. It takes much more effort and dedication that just is not consistently there from these leaders. #smsc2019
While it is great to be an activist in your community sometimes it can lead to a lack of leadership. This is due to issues such as crowdsourcing and crowd enforcing which can be intimidating for people involved in these movements #smsc2019
@mattstangle6 I enjoyed your response to the question and agree, I believe your response coincides with the online persona ideal we have been discussing in the previous weeks of our course as we form these identities online to show people the person we want them to see #smsc2019
@Chloesmith252 I really liked your explanation of micro-celebrities I feel it puts it in perspective in a strong way and allowed me to reflect on al the examples of micro celebrities we have in front of us today #smsc2019
As stated in the article, while someone considers anyone they follow as their friends someone else considers their friends to be IRL friends or friends she knows on Twitter but also in real life. Social media has added a more broad understanding on the term friend #smsc2019
While you can have thousands of followers you may not even know half of them but because you interact with these people, by liking, retweeting, or responding to their content can easily make you someone they consider they know or are friends with #smsc2019
A small interaction via social media can give you the idea that this other online user is your friend or someone "you know." Speaking from experience, I have had someone interact with content I posted on my social media considering them someone who could be my friend #smsc2019
Social media has completely transformed the way we use the title friend in today's world. A friend used to be someone you spoke to or hung out with but now a friend can be someone you have never even met, in a different country, that you know nothing about. #smsc2019
