Giving my classroom gluesticks human names has been revolutionary. Does a student care if a glue stick goes missing? No! Do they care if DEREK the glue stick has not been returned? ABSOLUTELY. It’s like a manhunt until Derek has been returned to his rightful spot.
My child today received an ADHD diagnosis finally! I feel quite relieved, if I’m honest. I’m pleased knowing this even though I know it will affect him his whole life, but it doesn’t change who he is. It just makes him extraordinary 😊
81% of schools (including primary and secondary) have asbestos within their buildings. There are kids and teachers right now who have no idea that they are infected with asbestosis. This is an emergency. I agree with government decision but this needs dealing with too!

You can tell a lot about a school's culture by walking through a school. Observe the office staff, custodians & staff/faculty in the hall, their demeanor & interactions with other staff & students. You can't fake a dynamic school culture. It is palpable!
