The Value of Human Life (https://t.co/QqZP8iSICP)
"Our misconception that some lives are better than others has rendered our species haggard and lost. It makes individuals fight with themselves and each other - competing for a prize that can't be won"
I feel like the only thing I can confirm is actually happening is that I love things. I can't rly trust anything besides my internal experience and pain is fleeting, which makes me feel like the only thing that exists is love
It's crazy how cowardly it looks to put profits above morality.
I could love any man besides a coward
We're all scared - but once you enter golem-state, whether as a human, a company, a vc firm etc - I'm out
And so is likely any chance at true love
Love is the moral arbiter of nature

Electricians, welders, mechanics, carpenters – I don’t call these the “trades.” I call them professions, because that’s what they are. They deserve the same degree of respect as someone who goes on to become a banker or a lawyer. It’s not a game of either-or, where one of these paths is more “elite” than another. They’re all elite & we’re proud of that.

@madbutwright I walked by someone yesterday having a hard time reaching something in the grocery store, and I was very happy to help. It was a lovely interaction. What happened to our sense of basic community? xo
I hate the terrible twos - not because it's difficult and stressful emotionally/ sonically - but because it's clearly the result of an intelligent creature not being able to express its needs and therefore being constantly denied them without understanding precisely why - it seems very obvious this is where a lot of weird mental blocks/ irrational hang ups/ future mental conditions can develop - like various emotions is being deeply unmet at such a formative age for us all - a reminder of like ... issues with the monkey brain. Also like it exhausts the ppl around u and idk, like at a point there'll be a tantrum and adults like laugh cuz "it's the terrible twos" - I even catch myself doing it - but then u see the subtle split second grimace of them realizing their pain is funny to others and u know they're smarter than their current state of language acquisition and they won't actually remember this moment but it'll stain their ego forever
But also some weird cute ways to learn certain things I suppose but the experience gives me a feeling of existential dread
I feel bad for every time I laughed at a cute thing a child did that seemed in the moment like an angry little pikachu being silly but rly it's a super computer booting up and internalizing the difference between its potential and its current reality
