We kicked off our new unit with a game of Battleships! 🚢.

The children navigated through coordinates and directions like pros, moving 'along the corridor' and 'up the stairs' with confidence.

The children had a lovely time drawing a picture of our local area which they then had to label in Welsh and Breton. There are a lot of similarities between the languages! #OutdoorLearningWeek

For our brain break activity the children played Yr Mor.

Our Criw Cymraeg taught the class the game and the children had a great time playing it in the sun ☀️

A huge thank you to @greenfieldvally for a fantastic day! The children enjoyed exploring and comparing the past to the present. An added treat was getting to feed the lambs!

Our visit to @greenfieldvally allowed us to explore the past and present. Trying on historical clothing and experiencing a Victorian school, the children will compare these relics to modern-day items and structures.

We began our exploration of our new topic "Me and the People of This World" today by visiting @greenfieldvally. Delving into the Mills, we uncovered Holywell's history and its influence on the British Empire.

Last week, the children created their own Cyhydedd Fer for the Eisteddfod. The poem has a very specific success criteria 8 line stanza, 8 syllables in a line and rhyming couplets. To find the rhyming couplets I got the children to write on the tables which they thoroughly enjoyed

Great day at @TyCalonSport for the @DragonSport_FPS tag rugby festival. It was a fun day and the children learnt so much. They're so excited for the next event.

The children loved their visit to @Museum_Cardiff. We learned about lots of things. They had a section all about natural disasters which is linked to our topic Me and the Planet.@YsgolMaesglas @mroldfieldymg @Urdd
