@MissWyeth Good morning, I actually find it easier to go before work so often there at 5.30am. Then make my way to work from the gym. You've gotta do what works best for you, I don't go everyday as sometimes need more sleep but at least 3 times a week. Good luck, you've got this x
Feeling prepped for the week: lunches made for the next 2 days (mixed bean chilli), food shops ordered to make it easier, flat cleaned, bag packed for gym tomorrow morning, maths + phonics printed off, dinner prepped for tomorrow, 2 loads of washing done + now to chill out π
Really looking forward to making the spare room more into an office space. Just purchased an office chair and day bed (which can then be used as a sofa to work on). Love a little project π
Today is declared a day at home! This involves packing up my book bag for my teacher training, having a sorting out morning, cleaning the flat. Followed by reading in the moment planning to make sure I am ready for September #nqt#dayathome#plans#excited
Today I said a big thank you and see you soon to my placement school. Started off as a LSA, then trainee teacher and finally as a teacher. Helped with September prep, picnic and then goodbyes which involved speeches = tears galore π. Made some great friends + learnt a lot!
Beyond happy to say had the loveliest zoom call + received the news that passed my teaching course = hello QTS! Made the bestest of pals, had an amazing time, learnt + reflected a lot, gained my first teacher job and really excited to get started! Super proud of our group too!
NQT course day complete β and caught up with some of our group (we'll all be teachers not trainee teachers anymore = surreal). Then sorted through all what I've collected throughout the year for my first class = nervous but really really excited! Productive Monday π
Today.. Saying goodbye to some children who I have supported in their learning for 2 years. We mind-mapped what I need to teach my new year 1 class (lots of learning) and then the children said "always be yourself Miss Gorman + always have your hair curly". #newschool#goodbye
Today in class I was Mary Anning. This involved leaving the classroom and then re-entering. The children's faces full of excitement, curiosity and super happy was AMAZING. They asked me all the questions from their English books their own questions wanted to ask. #traineeteacher
