Excited to continue learning from amazing educators about how to support our students through distance learning. WE MISS THEM.THEY MISS US ๐ #distancelearning2020@domsmithRP@NancyFrey
We officially completed our SDSU Educational Leadership Program! So honored to have met and worked alongside many incredible educators from all over San Diego this year! #sdsuedl#equitydrivenleaders
โLeaders become great not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower othersโ -John Maxwell @ToniFaddis#EDL655#buildingcapacity
Had a blast supporting educators at #CABE2019 . Supporting ELs proficiency in the mathematical practices through professional learning cycles @gchavez4777
Ending #EDL610 with THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE. So much learning, growing, and networking with amazing educators that put STUDENTS FIRST. @domsmithRP@MrsAlamo1@RT_Rayray
Habit 6: Synergize. First thing that pops in my head is teamwork and collaboration. I could not be as successful as I am without my amazing friends/colleagues/classmates. 3 heads are better than 1! @RT_Rayray@MrsAlamo1#EDL610@domsmithRP
Habit5:Seek 1st to Understand,Then to be Understood. In working with my nephew on HABITS, I have found that he struggles with Habit5(as do all pre-teens!)My goal for him this summer is to really work on habit 5, especially when he is speaking with his parents #EDL610@domsmithRP
Habit 4:Win-Win. In my shadowing experience I learned a lot about how constructive restorative practices are when dealing with discipline. So many students that were "in trouble" gained so much through restorative conversations and came out winning in the end @domsmithRP#EDL610
Habit 3:FIRST THINGS FIRST. Although we are "technically" teaching these habits to others, this habit was something I needed to TEACH/OWN myself first! Currently sitting at S-bucks since we got out of class early working on Pillar 2. Chai tea also helps โ๏ธ #EDL610@domsmithRP
BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND. As the school year is ending on Friday,I am working with my leadership team on our goals for next year and working with a backwards mapping approach to thoughtfully establish where we would like our kids to be at this point in 2019 #EDL610@domsmithRP
Habit 1: Be Proactive! My 12 year old nephew is learning the importance of being proactive with his learning. He is struggling in math, so we set up a plan so that he can be proactive about this, instead of waiting until a test #EDL610@domsmithRP
I am so proud of my 6th grade team. They worked so hard in practice to accomplish their goals during this race!! You girls are AWESOME! https://t.co/rG4jrCo44C
