Shoutout to the teachers who ordered themselves a takeaway/treat for surviving the first week back. I’ll meet you at the confessional tomorrow when we admit our sins to our almighty saviour:
Teachers of York (and everywhere else)! As part of my volunteering work I want to hear how @YorkUnlocked can support your curriculum through our education outreach. Fill out the form below https://t.co/HAKR0Qvktn #yorkunlocked#teachertwitter

That SLDP grad was me 💁🏻♀️
Can’t recommend this course enough! It’s comprehensive and just brilliantly run.
But it’s more than that, your cohort becomes a community of support - we still regularly ask for advice and we’re having a zoom on the 20th to discuss assessment ideas!
We have just done some numbers…
🥁 🥁 🥁
Turns out we’ve helped FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY current and aspiring Subject Leaders on the *award-nominated* @histassoc SLDP.
Are you one?
(This on top of news yesterday of another SLDP grad getting appointed HoD! 🥳)

We offer History Tours including the Baccarat Room where the scandal took place. The current tours are sold out but we will be offering more in the Autumn.
At Tyne Cot we went in search of Evie's relative, P Spencer of the Lancashire 2nd Battalion, only to discover he served alongside Mrs Wells' relative on the Ypres Salient. Incredible. @Tranby_school#inspiringsubjectpassion
Also an additional day 4 highlight for me was seeing Hofdi House where the 1986 Reykjavík summit between Reagan and Gorbachev was, I was beaming with joy!! Straight into my PowerPoint… @Tranby_History @Tranby_SDH
Day 4: last day 😔 Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss, Kerio and Perlan. Another wonderfully packed day! The kids have all had such a genuinely brilliant time and it’s just been amazing, I’m blown away by this place. Alarms set for 3:45am wake-up! @Tranby_school
Day 3: another wonderful day! Started with Dyrhólaey, then the Sólheimajökull glacier (which absolutely blew me away!), Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi, ending with the LAVA centre. We’re literally all having the best time, can’t believe it’s the last day tomorrow! @Tranby_school
Day 2: super busy day - Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Station, Hverageroi, Skógafoss, Vik and Reynisfjara! Followed by an evening adventure, running back onto the bus (some with coats thrown over pjs) to chase the northern lights!! 🤩 just absolutely incredible. @Tranby_school
