Survived my 1st term as a class teacher & this what I’ve learnt:
- My daily to do list will never be done
- TA’s are gods
- Perfection is not a realistic goal
- Children never fail to surprise you
- Supportive colleagues/leadership is imperative #EYFS#teachertwitter
Life update… I have a new job at a lovely independent school teaching Reception 🎉 I have began to make my classroom my own, it’s a work in progress, so more pics will come over time. I’m just so excited for this new journey and to be back in EYFS. ❤️ #EYFSTeacher
Myself & Tom’s closest friends are taking on the insanely hard 3 peaks challenge in October for @Sarcoma_UK Please read & support if you can it means the world to me. This amazing charity are trying to improve outcomes for others like my brother https://t.co/43Vy6XoUPg
@kateowbridge@tjenkinsreid I’ve just finished Malibu Rising by the same author and it was utterly amazing so this post has convinced me to read 7 husbands!
Classroom is ready for my second year teaching Year 1. Excited to welcome my next class into this space - but until then it’s time to totally switch off for Summer 🧡 #edutwitter#ks1#year1#continuousprovision
@teacherfent School paid for everything & the resources have been built up over time. Then things like the cable drum, trellis, briefcase etc was all free that I sourced via marketplace. There’s a few car boot sale things that cost next to nothing too. I also made the postbox out of old wood!
@LindsayGallant6 Thank you! It’s hessian- it’s a game changer, I haven’t had to change the boards at all as they don’t get worn out/ripped like paper does!
@NaomiSevier Tbh it is maintained with clear high expectations for tidying from day 1. I found my class last year really thrived in a tidy environment & actually used to argue sometimes about who got to do certain tidying jobs would you believe! 🤣 They took pride in it. 😊
