Following the Covenant School shooting which killed six people including three children, Michele Reneau told the Times Free Press that “it does not make sense to pass any new gun laws.”

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a gun control bill in 2022 - ‘Protecting Our Kids Act - that raised the age limit to purchase automatic weapons and limited the sale of high capacity magazines.

Tennessee’s Republican representatives all voted against the bill.
