Writing thesis statements today with Y12 HSAEL historians. We codified what made an excellent thesis. We created a success criteria - students made bounds of progress, showing the importance of 1) a clear Teacher led exposition 2) simplified and codified criteria.
In Y9, we are studying interpretations of the Russian Revolution in 1917. Students have acquired lots of knowledge on the events before judging the historical works of Figes and Reed on the October Revolution! Super impressed with our wonderful students work @HarrisSAEL

Today at @HarrisSAEL, we hosted the first ever Black History Month lecture with our budding historians from Dr Anne-Marie on the Black Panther movement from Sussex University. We thoroughly enjoyed the lecture and made some really meaningful links in our studies. @HarrisFed
