Students remember some of their teachers. They remember the ones who cared, the ones who were silly, the ones who tried to connect with students, the ones who always seemed to love their job. EVERY teacher has the opportunity to be memorable.
Gearing up for our March Madness book study! Excited to learn, grow, and discuss these important topics with my BES family! More excited to see what happens in classrooms as a result! #ownyourimpact#wegotthis#bethewildcard#ecsdfl https://t.co/98vMvFVJMq
I'll be moderating #fasachat on Wednesday night. Please join me and my fellow Florida admin while we discuss tech integration in our schools, offices, and classrooms! #ecsdfl#ownyourimpact
Loved seeing the sequencing thought process today as we worked on creating Flow Maps! We drew pictures first and added sentences to match. I asked this group to retell a story and they suggested making Flow Map! Proud teacher moment! #ownyourimpact#ecsdfl#thinkingmaps
Being data driven means looking at the numbers and taking action that will impact student’s lives and learning. #ownyourimpact#ecsdfl https://t.co/5WzALWxK4R
As I listened to convos between Ss today, I heard things like: “Would you like help with that?” “Thank you for being kind.” “Wow, you must be proud of that work!” and “You never gave up!” Cue the tears of joy! This is the learning community we strive for! #ownyourimpact
Barnes and Noble Pensacola has asked me to do another book signing in January!!! Also they have asked me to participate on a discussion panel to talk about my journey to become an author!!!
A4: Last year, after we studied Thinking Maps and knew them well, Ss were able to tell me what Thinking Map fit best in different learning situations. We celebrated! This year we are also using Thinking Maps and loving it! #ecsdfl
A3: Critical Thinking is an important life skill that we’ve got to teach our kids starting in early elementary! It’s crucial that Ss are able to work through problems and make decisions, as well as have an understanding of their thinking! #ecsdfl
A2: @KaySpen74338894 does some amazing things with thinking maps in all areas of the curriculum! I often use the double bubble map and flow map for ELA with characters and stories, but I’d love to learn more about using Thinking Maps in other areas too! #ecsdfl
A1: In our room, we use a lot of visuals, encourage asking questions, and are very verbal about our thinking! We’re open to discussing our thoughts and how we arrived at those thoughts with one another! #ecsdfl
A5: The days before the break can be challenging, but it’s important to remember how much of an impact our actions and words have on our kids. Create a joyful holiday for them, they may not get to experience holiday cheer otherwise! #ecsdfl
